The Anti-Wade?

Cowboys fans ask for Wade to call people out and show heart after a win or loss each week.

I ask that you watch this -- Mike Singletary's postgame presser after the 49ers 34-13 loss to the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday.

And then tell me, in the comments below, what you think.

I agree with AMERICAN FAN.

As a player I would not tolerate Singletary. His antics after the game were just as much about him as were the TE's actions during the game. I hope the cowboys players realize how lucky they are to have a coach that hold them to a high standard but also treats them as equal members of a team. Singletary will be fired at the end of the year. If you can't beat seattle you can't beat anyone.

Singletary didn't "alienate" or "divide" his locker room. He did what's necessary. This guy slapped an opponent across the face. On a struggling team like then 49ers with a brand new head coach, you have to do something to wake people up, and taking it out on a guy who's hurting your team with stupid emotional 15 yard penalties is a good way to do it. Show your team you mean business and you want to win the right way. That's a good job by Singletary.

As it relates to the Cowboys and Wade, I don't necessarily think the Cowboys need someone like Singletary to lead them. They can go with a guy like Wade and it's not hurting them. Only a struggling team like the 49ers really need someone like him.

Singletary will be a great coach but what's the point? He's not Wade, Wade will not yell like him, we don't "need" a ra-ra guy we just need tuys to play better.

Singletary wasn't ready to take on a HC position a few years ago, and he probably wants to run a 4-3, he's gonna be great but the fit wasn't good for us.

Wade may be too soft but we can't conform him to something he is not, we knew he wasn't a screamer when we signed him, what good is it gonna do to try and conform him after he's already here to make him into something he isn't.

You guys are crazy. Mike Singletary looked like an idiot in that press conference. That looked more like a meltdown than a guy in complete control of his team.

This was his 1st day on the job as the HC and he already managed to divide the locker room and alienate one of their best and highest paid players. Its one thing to bench someone, its completely another thing to banish him from the sidelines and then call him out in front of the national media. It will takes weeks for him to regain solidarity within that locker room.

I may not like the way Wade goes about his business, but ill take ol' softee anyday over a ranting raving lunatic like Singletary.

I loved it. Mike Singletary was one of my favorite players as a kid. He was a great middle linebacker, but he always had great character. Mike may not turn out to be a great coach, but I admire his style and preaching to play the game like it needs to be played. I will be cheering for him the rest of the way.

When they were interviewing coaches to replace Bill Parcells, Mike Singletary is the guy I was hoping for. Eventually they brought him in for an interview, so there was some hope, but alas it didn't happen. Maybe if SF doesn't make him the permanent coach, he can be the next coach here. I know he will be successful.

Now that was a great press conference. Too bad Jerry didn't hire him as the Cowboys head coach. Now that's what I'm talking about. A coach who won't settle for anyone putting themselves before the team. What a concept!
