T.O. interview with Deion

T.O. says a championship comes to Dallas if he gets his numbers. He doesn't have the numbers now and he says it's because of the system. And check out the nice green shirt T.O. is wearing with a huge Eagle on it. Part of this interview with buddy Deion Sanders was shown last night and the rest comes Sunday morning on NFL Network.

I have to agree with nieuweifan regarding the speed factor that the cowboys will not have until miles austin returns, probably against the steelers to soften up that steelers defense from putting 8 men in the box. The packer blueprint for stopping TO will continue until TO can prove he can beat it, which so far this season he has struggled. If you watch the recent game against the Redskins, when TO caught that crossing pattern deep into the Redskins territory, the TO of couple of years ago would have scored, this years version got tackled at the 2 yd line which later led to barber's td. TO quickness has deceived him that is the reason why he is having problems coming off the press coverage. unless TO has found the fountain of youth he will continue to struggle against the press coverage. r. williams ii, no speed demon either does still have the quickness (27 yrs old) to beat the press, will start making more of a impact with the one on one or zone coverage to exploit the defenses scheme on doubling TO. Once miles austin comes back, austin will also exploit those scheme with his size and speed which will open up running lanes for barber. with the cowboys offensive line now healthy and improving you will see the cowboys score more points with/without TO input.

First of all, this is the media doing what they do best! If Deion was a real friend he would not lead his friend to the alter. The fact of the matter is T.O. is a very good player and contrary to some comments, the Cowboys need him not only to contend for a NFC title but to just make the playoffs. As much as I hate to say it, the Cowboys have no choice but to cater to T.O.'s personality. Roy Williams is a very good receiver, but he wasn't even the best receiver on a horrible team. I said it before the season, Anquan Boldin should be the prize receiver the Cowboys put their eyes on. However, that's another blog. I partially agree with T.O., but I realize if Uno Uno and T.O.don't put up some big numbers, it doesn't matter because the Cowboys will go nowhere! They have 2 weeks to warm up to high octane mode because the cards get stacked against MBIII the rest of the way after Turkey Day. This Felix Jones season-ending injury and T-New groin is a much bigger story than what T.O. and Deion are jacking their jaws about. Romo is a very good QB and the Cowboys have a lot of weapons, if the O-line does their job and the Cowboys don't absorb anymore injuries they should be alright.

1. Double Coverage BEFORE ROY GOT HERE
2. The most expensive Pinky in Tx.
3. We have no speedy long term reciever
4. He hasn't worked with Brad and Brooks
I think he will be open more now Roy is here..Barber is a major threat..Witten in and now THE OTHER MB has now given the defenses more to deal with.

i think age has caught up with TO, he does not have the quickness to beat press coverage. it does not matter how manny balls TO catch, father time has caught up with TO and he is in denial. TO maybe in great physcial shape but father time has robbed TO of his greatest skill and that is quickness. TO was never the speed demon, but his quickness and his ability to shield the defender from the ball was his greatest contribution. now that his quickness has slipped, the cowboys are having to move him around to avoid the press coverage he is facing to no avail TO numbers has slipped. This will probably be TO's last season in big d. next year r. williams ii will be the "Man" along with miles austin, witten. the cowboys offense will flourish big time next year with new weapons on offense and a "wow" player on defense.

FIRST OFF, HE DIDNT COME TO DALLAS TO HELP WIN CHAMPIONSHIPS, HE CAME TO DALLAS BECAUSE JERRY WAS THE ONLY OWNER THAT WOULD TAKE HIS @$$. BROTHERMAN IF YOURE READING THIS ITS REALLY NICE TO HAVE U ON THE COWBOYS, BUT DO WE REALLY NEED YOU AND YOUR SELFISHNESS..A LOT OF STARS ON THAT TEAM W/ OR W/OUT YOU..BY THE WAY I WISH I HAD TWO OF THOSE SHIRTS YOU WERE WEARING.
