Stanback cut

There were no surprises on the Cowboys' list of cuts. Dallas released 22 players and placed rookie linebacker Stephen Hodge on injured reserve. The former TCU standout couldn't overcome the knee injury he suffered during OTAs.

Veteran receiver Isaiah Stanback was among those released. He was trying to convert from quarterback to receiver, and he just couldn't stay on the field.

Other cuts were: Travis Bright, Courtney Brown, Rudy Carpenter, Scott Chandler, Julius Crosslin, Marcus Dixon, Ryan Gibbons, Tearrius George, Jeremy Haynes, Jesse Holley, Mike Jefferson, Manuel Johnson, Keon Lattimore, Mike Mickens, Willie Reid, Derreck Robinson, Asaph Schwapp, Jonas Seawright, DeAngelo Smith, Matt Stewart and DeAngelo Willingham.

Some of them, including rookie draft picks Smith, Mickens and Johnson as well as Dixon and Bright, could be brought back to the practice squad tomorrow if they clear waivers.

JohnArlington = Rudy's Mom

David = Rudy's Dad

I agree. Rudy is a hellava lot better QB than that Kitna butterfingers guy. I don't care if Rudy is a rookie. Montana used to be a rookie. Staubach used to be a rookie. Bradshaw was a rookie once. Even the great Johnny U. was a rookie at one time.

Now I'm not saying that Rudy Carpenter has those Hall-Of-Famers skills, but, he's definitely better than anything that our blockheaded owner has ever brought in here on his own (without any consultation by any third parties inside or outside the organization).

Remember some of the beauts 'ole JJ brought in over the years all by his lonesome? Carter, Leaf, Johnson, Bollinger, Hutchison, Henson, etc... Remember how JJ let great quarterbacks, who he thought wouldn't amount to anything but have turned out or are turning out to be great, go--Delhomme, etc...?

Cutting Rudy is par for the course by an egomanic who won't admit to ever making a mistake in his life. If Rudy goes on to be a star somewhere else, I'm gonna stop supporting the Cowboys as a loyal fan and customer. Why? Because I'm getting sick and tired of watching football decisions being made by a football dummy.

If JJ brings Rudy back I'll stay a Cowboy fan and customer for life because I'll know JJ is evolving into a smarter and keener football mind...

Keep Rudy.
