Free will start at RT

Doug Free will start in place of injured Marc Colombo Sunday against the Redskins.

The coaching was thinking about other possibilities such as moving right guard Leonard Davis outside and replacing him with perhaps Montrae Holland, who's been deactive for all nine games.

Free, the former 7th round pick out of Northern Illinois, will line up next to Davis at least for this next game.

"He might be a little nervous deep down," Davis said of Free. "But butterflies or whatever you want to call it, won't be around long. After a few plays it'll settle down."
