The Cowboys were in the shotgun offense for 45 of 58 plays Sunday against the Packers. They called only 11 running plays. Their last 27 plays were all passes as they were behind by more than one score.
"The facts are if we didn’t have that number of snaps in that fourth quarter everybody would understand why you didn’t run the ball enough, because you just didn’t have the ball," Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said Thursday, pointing out why the Cowboys didn't run the ball more.
