So much for Carney

If Shaun Suisham doesn't work out, the Cowboys no longer have the option of signing John Carney. Carney, who was cut by the Saints on Tuesday, now is a kicking consultant for the Saints. He will continue to mentor former Southlake Carroll kicker Garrett Hartley.

"I know that this means that he's going to be with us for the remainder of the year and that he can't kick for us or another team for the remainder of the year," Saints coach Sean Payton said in a press release.

Carney kicked for Cowboys special teams coach Joe DeCamillis in Jacksonville in 2007.
