Witten closing in on 1,000

Jason Witten had 117 yards on six catches Sunday. He is 46 yards shy of a 1,000-yard season. It would be his second career 1,000-yard season. Witten had 1,145 yards in 2007. He had 952 yards last season and 980 in 2004.

"Witten had a great game," Cowboys coach Wade Phillips said. "They played a lot of man-to-man, and we really took advantage of that -- one-on-one with Witten."
