Kicking it

Shaun Suisham had a good week of practice. He even made a 54-yarder in Thursday's practice at Cowboys Stadium.

Suisham, signed 11 days ago to replace Nick Folk, made his only field goal last week. It was a 23-yarder against his old team, the Redskins. He now is 19-of-22, including 18-of-21 with the Redskins before his release on Dec. 8.

"First day, he didn't kick it real good," Cowboys coach Wade Phillips said. "He came up to me afterward and he said, 'I've just got to get my timing, coach. Don't worry about it; don't worry about.' I said, 'Well, I am a little worried about it right now, because I don't know you.' After that, he's hit almost everything. He's not going to make them all, but I think you can count on him, at least [judging] from practice. And there's pressure on him in practice."
