Like it or not -- and judging from emailers not -- Roy Williams will be back next season.
Williams had career lows in catches (38) and yards (596), though he did have seven touchdowns, and was passed by Miles Austin as the team’s No. 1 receiver. But the Cowboys have too much invested in him to part ways. They gave up too many draft picks and still owe him too much guaranteed money, including a $9.5 million bonus in March whether he is on the roster or not.
Williams will get another season to prove he wasn’t the worst trade the Cowboys ever made.
