Cowboys outside linebacker Anthony Spencer has been dominant since Thanksgiving. In the past six games, he has six sacks, two tackles for loss, 15 quarterback pressures and two forced fumbles.
"When I stopped worrying about making all the plays, making the plays that I know I should have been making, when I stopped worrying as much, that's when it really started coming for me," Spencer said Wednesday.
Spencer called him the "king of the almost sack" earlier this season. Now, he's playing as well as DeMarcus Ware is on the other side -- and better than Greg Ellis has in previous season. Spencer finally has put Ellis' shadow behind him.
"I hope they keep putting two and three guys over there and occupying me and let Spencer get one on ones, because he’s going to make those big plays," Ware said. "That's why he got defensive player of the week last week."
