Brandon Carter has his issues with former Texas Tech coach
Mike Leach. In September, he was suspended by Leach after reportedly criticizing
the coaching staff and throwing his helmet to the ground in a game against Houston.
Leach later reinstated the colorful Carter, who had a spiked
Mohawk and painted his face like a vaudevillian actor for Red Raider games.
Leach was fired for his treatment of a Tech player who had a
concussion. When asked about Leach at the NFL scouting combine, the 6-6,
329-pound Carter said:
“I always liked coach leach as a coach. He made questionable
calls this year. There was a definitely an issue with that. But what happened,
happened. I hope he finds somewhere else to coach because he’s a great coach.
He brings success to programs. So I wish him luck. I think eventually he’ll
move on to bigger and better things.”
Carter came to the combine with a much more conservative
look -- no face paint and no Mohawk. But he did bring his sense of humor.
“Usually during the offseason I grow out my hair,” he said. “My
mom likes it better. I decided I’d grow out the hair because I’ve got to see her
in a few weeks.”
After saying that, Carter thought about it and then said, “But
it’s kind of a good lok so I don’t know what I’m going to do.”

For any folks invested in more and better resident contribution, that is a knock back, i believe.

Leach was fired because of his handling of a Tech player who had a concussion. Leach was unhappy with the same Tech player who allegedly continued to break TEAM rules. Does that clarify it enough for you?

You said: "Leach was fired for his treatment of a Tech player who had a concussion."
WRONG! It was not because he was injured, it was because he continued to break TEAM rules!
