For TCU tackle Marshall Newhouse, the last two days have been "kind of a whirlwind." Newhouse arrived in Indianapolis on Wednesday for the NFL Scouting Combine, where -- along with more than 300 other players -- he will undergo a series of test for the 32 teams.
The day started early for Newhouse on Thursday.
"Today I started at 4 oclock in the morning," he said at about 3 p.m. So it’s still going on. It’s been exciting, though. It’s a new experience. I’m trying to soak it all in and just handle it as best as possible."
And why did he wake up so early?
"We had a drug test so we had to wake up and have a urine sample test," he said.
Newhouse played offensive tackle at TCU but is projected as a guard. He is rated as the eight best offensive guard in the draft by NFLDraftScout.com, and projected as a fifth or sixth round pick.
