When LaDainian Tomlinson was released by the Chargers on
Tuesday, it was a sad day for TCU alumni. Yet even the young guys understand
that it’s simply a part of professional football.
“That just shows you that no one is immune to how the league
works,” TCU tackle Marshall Newhouse said at the NFL combine in Indianapolis. He’s been a great player and
he’ll continue to be a good player. He’s been a great ambassador for TCU. The
next team that gets him is going to get a great player. That’s how the business
works, though. That’s how it is.”
Lot’s of speculation on
where Tomlinson will end up. But considering the history of the Patriots, would
anyone be surprised if he signed there?
