I posted an Internet story after Dez Bryant's workout and have a separate story in tomorrow's paper. Bryant will have dinner with Cowboys owner Jerry Jones on Wednesday night and then will visit Valley Ranch on Thursday. He also has visits scheduled to Cincinnati and Tampa Bay. Denver and San Francisco also could be on his itinerary.
Bryant ran times of 4.53, 4.68 (against the wind) and 4.58. He was more impressive in position drills, with former OSU quarterback Bobby Reid throwing him passes. (Bryant also forgot his broken-in cleats and had to wear new ones, which didn't help him in running the 40 or in doing the three-cone or short-shuttle drills.)
Bryant has not played since a Sept. 19 game against Rice, suspended by the NCAA for lying to investigators. I asked him if it had been hard, not playing football for so long: "It's been tough, but believe me, I didn't get down on myself. I wasn't depressed. I just had to go with it. I am ready to get back on that gridiron."
Bryant probably won't be there when the Cowboys draft 27th, but with off-the-field questions as well as a slow 40 time, NFL Network draft analyst Mike Mayock said it won't surprise him where ever Bryant goes.

Boo hoo alright, it was only three who topped themselves. Pity a few more, (particularly Mahommed Daoud) didn't take that option also.

For any folks invested in more and better resident contribution, that is a knock back, i believe.
