While the Cowboys are entertaining several national draft prospects this week, the list of players for the annual Dallas Day workouts on Monday April 5 is coming together.
Among the inivited players are Oklahoma receiver Adron Tennell , Kansas receiver Desmon Brisco, SMU receiver Emmanuel Sanders, SMU running back Shawnbrey McNeal, TCU offensive tackle Nic Richmond, TCU cornerback Rafael Priest and TCU deep snapper Clint Gresham.
Two other SMU players _ Bryan McCann and/or Chase Kennemer_ may get invitations dependent on their Pro Day results on Thursday.
TCU cornerback Nick Sanders is also possibility but is waiting on final confirmation.
Several prospects have gone from Dallas day workouts _ where the Cowboys can bring in up to 30 prospects who went to high school or college in the area _ to jobs with the Cowboys like receiver Patrick Crayton, linebacker Stephen Hodge, linebacker Brandon Williams and cornerback Jacques Reeves.
Among the national prospects in town or expected to be at the team's Valley Ranch headquarters Tuesday and Wednesday are Indiana (Pa.) defensive back Akwasi Owusu-Ansah, Illinois receiver Arrelious Benn, Ohio receiver Taylor Price, UMass offensive lineman Vladimir Ducasse, Penn State linebackers Sean Lee and Navarro Bowman, Penn State defensive end Jared Odrick, Cal defensive end Tyson Alualu, Georgia Tech safety Morgan Burnett, LSU safety Chad Jones,Wake Forest defensive back Brandon Ghee, Oklahoma State receiver Dez Bryant, Idaho guard Mike Iupati and LSU receiver Brandon LaFell.
What is clear is that the Cowboys are taking a close look at the receiver prospects, making it very likely they take a wide out in the draft, possibly in top three rounds and as early as the 27th pick of the first round if they want a shot at Benn, LaFell or Bryant.
