He still loves the home team

Cowboys draft pick Akwasi Owusu-Ansah grew up in Columbus, Ohio, not far, obviously, from the Ohio State campus. He great up a Buckeye fan and said he still roots for them. They never recruited him out of high school, but he said that did not bother him..

"I do not feel any animosity towards them at all," Owusu-Ansah said. "I am a big Buckeye fan. I did not think I was big enough to play for the Buckeyes coming out of high school."

Owusu-Ansah said he was a late developer: "I got faster, bigger and stronger in college. Coming out of high school, I was a good athlete. I played both ways in high school. I played running back and safety in high school and most of my highlights were at the running back position. I did not go to a lot of camps and I did not market myself. There are a lot of facets that play into it."
