Just CHILL: Jerry Jones, Cowboys Stadium win Sports Business Awards

Clarence Hill

Cowboys Stadium and Cowboys owner Jerry Jones picked up a couple of awards at the third annual Sports Business Awards in New York on Thursday night.

Cowboys Stadium was named the Sports Facility of the Year. Jones was named Sports Executive of the Year.

The other finalists for the executive award were NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, Seahawks CEO Tod Leiweke, and CBS Sports president Sean McManus.  The award was presented by last year's winner, NBC Universal Sports & Olympics Chairman Dick Ebersol.

The award capped a banner year for Cowboys Stadium, which has hosted the NBA All-Star game, a world championship boxing match and international soccer matches in addition to Cowboys games.
