Tennis at Cowboys Stadium

Cowboys Stadium will host some of the best tennis players in the world July 10, six days after Wimbledon, in the inaugural Cowboys Tennis Slam. Maria Sharapova, a former No. 1, will meet Serena Williams, the current No. 1, at 7:30. Andy Roddick will follow against John Isner. Both sets will be two-out-of-three.

The event will seat 20,000, with the court set up across the end zone.

"This will be an exciting event for us to hold at Cowboys Stadium," Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said. "We have seen the flexibility our new stadium has for holding spectacular events of all kinds, and this event should be like no other. Being able to attract some of the best tennis players in the world under one roof for a night like this will be something special."

Tickets will cost between $75 and $275 and can be purchased beginning June 5 through Ticketmaster or the Cowboys Stadium Ticket Office. A $400 package includes floor seating and passes to a cocktail reception on July 9 with some of the players. A $500 VIP package includes front row seats, tickets to the Friday event and a meet-and-greet with all of the players on Saturday.
