Rookie receiver Dez Bryant was held out practice Tuesday because of tightness in his left hamstring.
Bryant began OTA workouts with his teammates but then informed trainer Jim Maurer that he felt some tightness.
Maurer, erring on the side of caution, told him to sit out the rest of the day and give it a go again on Wednesday.
Bryant said he intends to try to practice on Wednesday and be ready for the mandatory minicamp this weekend.
Bryant termed it just the normal aches and pains of getting his body acclimated to football again after playing only three games in college last year. The NCAA penalized him for lying to them about a dinner with former Cowboys cornerback Deion Sanders and made him ineligible.
"It's all about just getting back which I am back and getting right by the start of the season," Bryant said. "It's better to deal with now than then."
Bryant has been bothered by a couple of of aches and pains since the Cowboys drafted him in the first round in April. He tweaked his ankle in the rookie minicamp and last week was bothered by a sore hip.
