Brooking likes no drama

Linebacker Keith Brooking was asked if the lack of drama in Cowboys camp was helpful as the team goes through its mandatory minicamp.

"It's kind of the same that we had last year," Brooking said. "I don’t know that we had drama going into last season. I heard about the drama the year before. I heard a lot about that, but when I got here I felt great about the ways things were."

No Terrell Owens, no drama king.

Brooking said that the Cowboys are focused on improving this season and they have the last game of last season as motivation -- the 34-3 loss to Minnesota in the divisional playoff round.

"It’s not that we went up to Minnesota and we weren't prepared," Brooking said. " We grew as a team going up there. We were humbled. We played our worst game of the year probably. So I think we can learn from that. And we got one playoff win. What does that mean? It doesn't mean a lot in the grand scheme of things, but I think we took a step in the right direction. I think we can build off that this year"
