Cowboys want more FG chances for Buehler

Kicker David Buehler push to be the team's primary kicker has taken a setback the past two preseason games because hasn't been able to attempt a field goal. He did made six of seven field goals in the first two preseason games.
But the offense has been so poor that they failed to get him position against the Chargers and Texans.
Coach Wade Phillips joked that he would like to get Buehler seven field goals in Thursday's preseason final.
"You'd like to see that," Phillips said.  "But we don't have any control until we get in the game and see how we do. But if we get an opportunity for a longer attempt, I'd like to have one of those. He hasn't really had one of those.  It might not be the correct decision as far as the regular season is concerned. But he's got such a great leg. That might be a lift. Those sorts of things. But it might not come up."

I would look at the Texans kickers. One if them is not going to make the Texans roster. Both Rackers and Kris Brown have both been proven and are better with proven field goal accuracy. Buehler only has proven to be a good kickoff (touchback) kicker.
