Wide receiver Jesse Holley made the Cowboys practice team last year after winning the competition on Michael Irvin's reality show, Fourth & Long. This year, he's trying to make the regular roster and he's had an excellent training camp.
Holley, who has long braided hair that sticks out the back of his helmet, has distinguished himself on special teams and has a chance to make the squad as a sixth receiver.
Holley also got to play some on offense against the Raiders and made one outstanding catch -- a grab with one hand. He never used the other. Unfortunately for him, he was out of bounds. Still, he said the play could impact his future.
"As a receiver, you want to make the catch come hell or high water," Holley said. "When the coaches watch the film, that sticks out whether you were inbounds or not. It still shows your athleticism and your ability to go up and get the ball."
Holley, who wears No. 16, said he has a simple approach to playing special teams.
"When Oakland pops the film on or when Cincinnati pops the film on, when the other teams that we’re going to play pop the film on, they’re going to see 16. They’re going to see the hair running around like a wild man. And that sticks out. My goal and my dream is to play here in Dallas and I don’t want to play anywhere else. But if things don’t happen to work out you want those things to show up on film for 30 more teams across this league."
When final cuts are made, Holley is hoping his effort makes a difference to coaches and owner/GM Jerry Jones.
"I’m trying to make it up-all-night-to-the-wee-hours-of-the-morning hard," he said. "When they speak my name, I want them to go, 'We gotta keep this kid or he’s going to come back and burn us.' I want to make it extremely, extremely hard for them."

Right now I'd take Holley over Ogletree based on effort alone, I'd rather have a player who gives you all he's got than an under-achieving talent like Ogletree.

The Cowboys look about the same as last year can't score in the red zone and have to kick field goals had they scored they would have won the game at least 21-17 you can't win on field goals, when you should have touchdowns.and the offensive co-ordinator never calls deep patterns this is the biggest problem. Wake up it is time to hire someone who is not afraid to attack through the air.
