Rookie Sean Lee will start at inside linebacker in place of the injured Keith Brooking for the rest of the preseason.
Brooking injured his shoulder against the Chargers and will be held out the final two preseason games as a precaution. He should be ready for the Sept. 12 season opener against the Redskins.
Lee will played so well against Chargers in what was his preseason debut that he got the nod over second year linebacker Jason Williams to start next to Bradie James. Lee missed the first two preseason games with a quad injury but quickly showed the Cowboys why they picked him in the second round of the 2010 NFL Draft.
He made a team-high 13 tackles and was all over the field, according to coach Wade Phillips.
