McGee ready to go again

Cowboys third-string quarterback Stephen McGee has completed 14 of 29 passes for 127 yards with no touchdowns and no interceptions. He isn’t disappointed with his play so far.

“I’ve got a lot of things to work on as always, little things,” McGee said. “Working on getting guys up to the line of scrimmage quicker, getting the ball snapped, and getting the ball out quicker, playing faster. I feel like if I can do that, I can let my talent play – not think just react. That and feeling stuff that goes on around you. There are going to be plays that break down. Not every play is going to be perfect like we draw it up on the board, but playing to where everything is messing up around me, but just reacting and having fun and competing.”

McGee is expected to get most of the second half snaps tonight and the majority in the final preseason game against the Dolphins on Sept. 2.
