Barron is going back to the bench but not for the whole game

Left guard Kyle Kosier (knee) and right tackle Marc Colombo (knee) both practiced again Thursday and will start in Sunday's game against the Bears. But Cowboys coach Wade Phillips said guard Montrae Holland and tackle Alex Barron will play, giving Kosier and Colombo breathers.

"They wouldn't play the whole game, I don't think," Phillips said. "We would have to substitute for them for precautionary reasons, because they haven't played a whole game in a while. We'll have the other guys to play. Hopefully we'll have both groups playing."

Kosier sprained the medial collateral ligament in his right knee Aug. 18. Colombo had arthroscopic surgery Aug. 16 to remove five loose particles in his right knee. Both returned to practice this week.

"They're two experienced guys who have played with us and been with us and helped win a lot of games, so we have a lot of confidence in those guys," Phillips said.
