Miami Dolphins general manager Jeff Ireland called over Cowboys rookie receiver Dez Bryant during special teams pregame drills before Thursday's preseason game at Cowboys Stadium.
Bryant accepted Ireland's extended hand, and the two spoke for less than a minute as Cowboys executive vice president Stephen Jones looked on.
During a predraft interview, Ireland asked Bryant if Bryant's mother was a prostitute. The Miami Herald reported in Wednesday's editions that Ireland had hoped to bury any lingering hard feelings that Bryant may have had.
Ireland patted Bryant on the arm during their brief conversation on the Cowboys' sideline about an hour before kickoff.
Ireland, the Cowboys' former player personnel director, had been visiting with Cowboys owner Jerry Jones, Stephen Jones and other Cowboys' front-office employees when Bryant ran past him while warming up.
