After the Cowboys 27-25 victory over the Dolphins, owner Jerry Jones was asked if economics will play a role when the Cowboys reduce their 75-man roster to 53. With the backups playing so well, higher priced players like Patrick Crayton and Sam Hurd could either be traded or released. But Jones said it will not all be about the money.
"We’re certainly in an uncapped year," he said. "On one hand we have some leeway. On the other hand we know we’re going to have to pay the fiddler sometime. It’s always that in the NFL. That’s the system and we’ve got to plan on having that system in the future."
