Fewer penalties, more forced turnovers, and a loss

The night was full of irony for the Cowboys -- and definitely not the good type. The Cowboys forced five turnovers in their 41-35 loss to the Giants while making only two. In games this season when a team had three more turnovers than its opponent, the team with the most turnovers was 26-1.

And now 26-2.

The Cowboys also worked hard on penalties. They came into the game with the most yards lost because of penalties and the second most penalties in the league.

But Monday night, they had only five penalties for 42 yards -- their fewest penalties and penalty yards in any game this season.

And they lost.
