After telling the Cowboys he felt better Friday, cornerback Terence Newman missed practice again with a rib muscle strain. He still is expected to play, though the team lists him as questionable on the official injury report.
Starting left guard Kyle Kosier (Achilles’) and his backup, Montrae Holland (groin), both have been ruled out. That leaves rookie free agent Phil Costa to make his first start, with rookie Sam Young to be active as a backup guard.
Linebacker Bradie James (knee) and Dez Bryant (ankle) both practiced Friday and are probable for Sunday’s game.
