Receiver Dez Bryant (right ankle), right tackle Marc Colombo (non-injury) and left guard Kyle Kosier (right Achilles') did not practice Thursday. Center Andre Gurode (knee) and linebacker Bradie James (knee) were limited.
Bryant first injured his ankle July 30 in training camp. He re-injured the ankle against the Redskins and again two weeks later against the Texans. The Cowboys are trying to manage the injury, limiting his work in practice until the injury is fully healed.
"Dez really couldn't practice today," Cowboys coach Wade Phillips said. "He couldn't go full-go today. He could have probably practiced some, but we're going to try to get him well. He's not practicing much and then all of a sudden, he plays and gets through the ball game. But it takes a while to recover. Fortunately, we have a Monday night game. It should help the process. If we can get him well this week, then we have a short week next week."
Colombo was given the day off as a rest day. He had knee surgery during training camp.
Gurode took most of the snaps Thursday, Phillips said. He is expected to play Monday night.
