Ratliff says he is not giving up and won't let team give up

Nose tackle Jay Ratliff, who has talked to the media only once this season, called the Star-Telegram late Friday afternoon to make it known that he was not giving up and he was not going to let his teammates give up on themselves and embattled coach Wade Phillips.

"I'm going to continue to fight," Ratliff said. "I'm fighting for me. I'm fighting for my teammates and I'm fighting for Coach Phillips. He is not going to give up. I'm not going to stop fighting."

Ratliff said it's tough situation because no one expected the Cowboys to be in this position at 1-5. But he said now is the time when you find out a person's true charactor.
"Here we are, now we get to see our true colors," Ratliff said. "Everybody has to look in the mirror and ask themselves how will you respond. I look at myself and say 'I'm going to fight harder'."
