There has never been a question about Felix Jones' ability to make a big play. The only was his toughness and ability to stay healthy.
He was only a part time player in college at Arkansas and he missed games in each of his two years because of injuries.
Jones showed the Cowboys and the fans something on Sunday when he left the game in the third quarter with a hip injury. He was taken for x-rays, which came back negative.
Jones returned the field and helped the Cowboys finish the game with 21 yards on the ground on four carries and a 24-yard pass reception.
"Ever since Felix Jones got here we’ve liked him as a football player and he filed through some injuries earlier in his career," coach Jason Garrett said. "It had been injuries that were legitimate injuries, it’s never been a question of if this guy was a space player and he can’t run tough inside we always felt that Felix Jones could do that. I think Felix showed his toughness today, he got banged up a little bit and then came back and was a big part of it at the end and that shows the kind of toughness he has and what he feels about this football team and playing on Sunday afternoon."
