Cornerback Orlando Scandrick has two sacks in the past two games and 2.5 this season, putting him one sack away from breaking the team record for sacks by a cornerback of 3.0
Scandrick has excelled at blitzing from his nickel cornerback position because he has good instincts and natural feel for when to attack, interim coach Jason Garrett said.
"His ability to rush as a nickel back and create problems for the opposing offense has shown up," Garrett said. "He has a good fel for disguising it and then making a play when he does get the opportunity. I think some guys are better than others, and if you’re trying to hide it too much, that’s usually a good indicator that you are coming. But the best guys are the guys that do it most naturally, and typically it falls into whether or not they’re kind of an instinctive, natural player, and Orlando certainly is one of those.”
