Cowboys are making a bad habit of 200-yard receivers

The Cowboys allowed Reggie Wayne to catch 14 passes for 200 yards and a touchdown last week. This week, DeSean Jackson had four receptions for 210 yards and a touchdown.

"It hurts us personally," cornerback Mike Jenkins said.

The Cowboys have allowed four 100-yard receivers as well.

They draw Santana Moss next week. Moss had six catches for 77 yards in the season opener at Washington.

Brandon, you are right on about Miles. I forgot who was throwing to him. I bet if Romo hadn't gotten hurt during the G-men game, Miles would have at least matched his vast 2009 output. As for McGee, you may be right, you may be wrong. Why don't we play him these last 3 games so we can find out. He might light some teams up, or he might be exposed as a bust. You think he's a bust. Could be. Could be. But, I want to see him play in a few real games before passing judgement on him. As for Choice, I agree, since he isn't getting much help from our OLine, he ain't gonna get the holes and seams to run through. But Choice sure seemed to get stopped in his tracks pretty easily when he was down on the goal line. You know Emmitt would have scored down there, good or bad blocking. Choice was fresh too having hardly played this whole season. If Jim Brown, OJ, Emmitt, Barry Sanders, Dickerson, or Payton, etc. had been the fresh (40 carries all season) back yesterday, any one of them would have gone off for 300 yards. Yeah, our OLine did a little bit of blocking--enough for those HOFer backs to blast through. What does Choice do? He hits into one guy and stops like he hit a brick wall. Campbell would of flattened that defender and been in the endzone.

Arlington i havr to agree with most of what you say, howevwer i do have a few disagreements. miles austin is not a "servicable" rcvd he can be great. There was a huge change when romo left i barely even see a ball go to miles...iknow i know a few drops. no excuses.
as you say with all these people we need to draft how in the world can we do that in 1 draft. i personly thin k that we have the talent but for whatever reason "jerry jones' stupididty" the season went down the drain. i do expect a huget turnaround next year but to echo your point not if that line does not help protect our captain of the ship.

mcgee should see some snaps but i do not think he can be an nfl caliber qb and choice can only run when he has a "choice" of holes. if nothing is there he can not produce. look at the season cj is having in titan land and that goes to show. explosive or not with out the holes you are going to get stoppped every time you run the ball.

look forward tio sharing thought ARLINGTON

Like I said in other posts on here, the downtrodden 'Boyz need to draft a new crop of DBs. The ones we got, from Jenkins, Sensabaugh, to Newman ain't gettin' it done anymore for whatever reason. They can't tackle or cover as a group like they did last year.

As for LBs--Brookings, even though I love his attitude and playing style, is pretty much washed up--he'd be a great coach as far as I'm concerned. You need to draft 1 top 10 college MLB to backup Lee.

At the Defensive line--Olshansky is a non-factor anymore--Spencer just isn't getting it done anymore. You need at least 2 draft Dtackles/Dend choices to replace those two. Go ahead, don't draft any top college DT/DEs in 2011. Go ahead, put more weight upon the shoulders of your 2 great players--Ware and Ratliff. You really care about helping those 2 don't ya.

I would play McGee for the last 3 games of this season. You need to find out what you have in him. Jethro summed up the stupidity of the management/ownership of this team yesterday after the game when he said that he was going to continue to play veterans like Kitna to give us the best chance of winning the final 3 games. I say "WHAT THE HECK FOR?!!!!" You're out of the playoffs. You already know what you got in Kitna--an average NFL backup QB that can get it done in some games, and, not get it done in others. Kitna will be taking up game-snaps that should be used for McGee. It does not matter whether the 'Boyz win or lose the last 3 games. You need to play the rooks and backups now, much like a preseason game, to see what you have in them. Otherwise, how are you going to know if they are worth keeping around? I don't get JJ. How can anyone that's been around the inner cockles of the NFL for as long as him still not have a clue?!!

On Offense, I thought Choice was a good, serviceable back. I was wrong. Barber is washed up. Only Jones remains as a viable long term back solution for the 'Boyz. They need to draft another top notch college back or two. But they won't--idiots run the 'Boyz show.

By playing Kitna the next 3 games, the idiots running the 'Boyz will not know whether they need to draft a top 5 QB in 2011 draft. I cannot stress this enough--YOU NEED TO FIND OUT WHAT YOU HAVE IN QB MCGEE!!! Forget about Kitna!! Forget about strokin' Kitna's ego--Kitna's ego is gonna make you waste another draft choice on something you don't need or another draft bust!!

You need to get some top 20 college OLinemen in this 2011 draft as well to replace Davis, Colombo, and Gurode. If Jethro keeps those 3 around for next year, Romo's career will be over after the first game!

At Wideout, I thought Austin would be able to at least match his 13 game output last year in 16 games this year--I was wrong. He is still a servicable WO. Roy is not. Unless Roy is able to rework his contract to pay him about 1/4 what he is paid now, I don't see any reason to keep him. He's a pretty good possession receiver--but not worth $9 mil a year. Ogletree is a bust. The 'Boyz only have one great WO--Bryant. Good job. But, I hate to break it to you--you will need more than Bryant next year to be a winner because NFL D's will shut down Bryant and force you to throw it to someone else--who is that other dangerous, complimentary WO going to be? Now you're beginning to see. Cupboard's bare!!

I'm done with my rant. Above, I've just echoed what most 'Boyz fans have been sayin' all season long. But will the hard heads running this crashed and burning show listen? No. They know best. After all, they're the ones who got us to our beautiful 4-9 record. We fans couldn't do any better could we?!! We just pay the bills and take the disrespect of these inside-the-'Boyz-organization types--players, coaches, and owners.

"It hurts us personally"? Really? He, along with his buddy Newman, has turned into a joke this year. Pitiful! It gets really bad when your impressed when either of them actually make a tackle. It s what it is...
