Cowboys make moves at WR

The Cowboys have lost two receivers for the season. Dez Bryant was placed on injured reserve with a broken fibula last week. Kevin Ogletree went on injured reserve Wednesday. He will have surgery on his right big toe Thursday. Ogletree played in six games, making three catches for 34 yards. He also returned six kickoffs for 109 yards.

Manny Johnson was promoted from the practice squad. A seventh-round pick in 2009, Johnson spent last season and the beginning of this season on the practice squad. He had eight catches for 78 yards in the preseason.

The team also signed receiver Troy Bergeron to their practice squad. Bergeron left Middle Tennessee State after one red-shirt season to join the Columbus Wardogs of af2 in 2004. He signed with the Georgia Force of the AFL in 2005, where he was named the AFL Rookie of the Year. In 2006, Bergeron signed with the Atlanta Falcons as a free agent but was released at the end of training camp before signing with the Buffalo Bills on Dec.12 for two months. He re-joined the Force for the 2007-2008 seasons and was a second-team All-Arena selection in 2007. In his three seasons with the Force, he recorded 328 receptions for 4,335 yards and 96 touchdowns while adding 1,416 kickoff return yards. Bergeron was re-signed by Atlanta on May 10, 2009, and spent the entire season bouncing from their practice squad to the active roster. He was released by the Falcons on Sept. 5, 2010, following training camp.
