Jon Kitna threw for 198 fewer yards than Peyton Manning on Sunday -- 167 to 365.
But the Cowboys won the game in overtime 38-35 and Kitna had no interceptions.
Manning had four.
Those interceptions led to 20 Cowboys points and the victory.
Kitna said much of his success was a result of the running game. The Cowboys had 46 rushes and only 26 passes on Sunday.
This is a team that threw more passes in each of the eight games under Wade Phillips with Jason Garrett as offensive coordinator but has had more runs than passes in three of the four games with Garrett as head coach/offensive coordinator.
“We ran the football well,” Kitna said. “That was the key to the footall game, running the ball well and trying to control the clock.”
Kitna finished the day 18-of-26 for 167 yards and a touchdown.
