Texas defensive end Sam Acho showed off a little at the Senior Bowl in Mobile, but not on the field. At a press briefing, reporters walked away were impressed by Acho’s public speaking ability. One reporter predicted Acho -- projected as a third-round pick -- would be on the all-interview team for years to come.
Acho, who will convert to linebacker in the NFL, won the Campbell Trophy, which is the academic equivalent of the Heisman Trophy. He obviously has the intelligence to play in the NFL, and he also has the background. At Texas, he had to replace All-American Brian Orakpo when Orakpo went to the NFL.
But Acho said it simply part of being a Longhorn.
“At Texas, we say the tradition never graduates,” Acho said. “So we have great players in and out. One guy might go and graduate and someone has to step in. So I’m stepping in after Bryan Orakpo and filling his shoes and I filled that role. We had great players along side . . . so it really was just a team effort.”
Acho said he is working with private trainers in Florida on linebacker technique and pass coverage.

i think Jim Harbaugh will be considered for every NFL head coach opening and could easily jump ship
