Greg McElroy's Wonderlic score wasn't quite the 48 he first reported. (A 50 is perfect.) But it was pretty darn good. The former Southlake star scored a 43 on the Wonderlic to lead the quarterbacks in this year's draft, according to ESPN's Chris Mortensen.
TCU's Andy Dalton scored a 29, according to Mortensen, and former Colleyville Heritage star Christian Ponder had a 35. Ryan Mallett (26), Cam Newton (21) and Jake Locker (20) also were among those listed.

Mallet or Dalton would be good players for the Boys to groom for the future. However, mallet may be a 1st rounder, whereas Dallas needs to draft a CB, LB, or S in that round. Go for Dalton in a later round, Pokes.

troy akiman had a 29 score and tony romo had a 37 score, how many rings does romo have over akiman? i still think ryan mallett is the best qb out of this draft. whoever drafts mallett an it appears it could be the vikings at #12, will get a steal, this kid will come into the nfl with a chip on his shoulder to prove the naysayers wrong. I could be wrong an a team in the top 10 drafts mallett as the qb of the future. i'm excited about this years draft because of all of the uncertanity and there is no clear cut favorite an there could be some suprises especially with the qb position, i think atleast 6 qb will be drafted in the first round.
