Emmitt hosts charity event

Emmitt Smith and his wife, Pat, will host the second annual Emmitt Smith Celebrity Invitational Weekend in Frisco and McKinney on May 13-14. The inaugural event last year raised more than $600,000 for Pat & Emmitt Smith Charities.

The weekend of events includes a red carpet party and VIP reception, a celebrity golf tournament at TPC Craig Ranch with a cash purse of $15,000, a celebrity Pro-Am-style golf tournament, an auction and a Celebrity Poker Tournament with the winner earning a coveted seat at this year's World Series of Poker.

Jason Garrett, Jason Witten, Mark Ingram Jr., Clay Walker, Thurman Thomas, Daryl Johnston, Spud Webb, Derrick Brooks, Floyd Little and Mike Eruzione are among the guests who already have RSVP'd.

"Emmitt and I are thrilled to host this exciting event again this year," said Pat Smith, President of Pat & Emmitt Smith Charities. "The Emmitt Smith Celebrity Invitational showcases our charity's commitment to leveraging top celebrity events and key relationships in the business and philanthropic communities to create opportunities to serve the educational needs of children."

Sponsorships begin at $2,500. For detailed sponsorship information, call (972) 584-0534. The event sold out last year.
