OT Tyron Smith has been at the top of the Cowboys list since Pro Day workout

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said that they have target Tyron Smith for the ninth overall pick since his Pro Day workout March 30.

It was interesting that coach Jason Garrett attended Smith’s workout at USC. It was the only Pro Day workout Garrett attended.

“I think in our evaluation of him, he distinguished himself beginning at his workout,” Jones said. “As you know, he did some lifting at the combine, but didn’t work out. But at his workout, we had direct interviews. From that point on, he started getting the kind of interest that resulted in us drafting him with the ninth pick.”
