Cowboys receivers coach Jimmy Robinson was hit by receiver Teddy Williams, the gunner on a punt drill, on the sideline and knocked down. It appeared Robinson hit the back of his head on the turf.
Trainers and medical staff attended to Robinson immediately. The coach did not get up, and after a few minutes, practice was stopped.
Robinson had been facing upfield at the punt drill and did not see Williams, who had gotten away from a defender. Williams did not have time to stop before he hit Robinson chest-to-chest. The coach fell to his back.
Robinson was placed in a neck brace and lifted onto a stretcher before being transported to a local hospital. Williams limped back to the training room as he, too, was injured on the play.
