Andre Gurode still in limbo, Montrae Holland returns to practice

Center Andre Gurode sat at his locker Monday while his teammates were on the practice field. The five-time Pro Bowl center remains in limbo as the Cowboys continue to talk business with his agent Kennard McGuire.

The Cowboys hope to reach a trade for Gurode but he mostly likely will be released as no team would want to take on his $5.5 million base salary. A decision could come as soon as today.

Linebacker Bradie James, guard Kyle Kosier and kicker Mat McBriar (groin)were sidelined from practice due to injuries as was cornerback Josh Thomas (hamstring), center Phil Costa (knee) and tight end Martellus Bennett (high ankle sprain). The Cowboys did welcome guard Montrae Holland (back) and receiver Teddy Williams (hamstring) back to practice after being sidelined for weeks. Kicker David Buehler (hip flexor) was also back at practice on Monday.
