The Cowboys had two No. 2s on the field Tuesday after signing veteran kicker Dave Rayner. He was assigned the same number as Kai Forbath, who is recovering from a quadriceps injury. Dallas now has five kickers on its roster.
Rayner was with the Lions for eight games last season, converting 13 of 16 field-goal tries. He also has kicked in Cincinnati, San Diego, Kansas City, Green Bay and Indianapolis. Rayner, a five-year veteran, is a career 73.3 percent kicker.
Forbath (quadriceps) signed with the team Aug. 2. He is not expected to be ready for the regular season. Buehler (hip flexor) returned to practice Monday.

The way the defense (loosely used term) has been playing the cows are going to need some extra kickers because they will wear out before the season ends. As usual the cows GREAT GM has been up to his usual in finding quality coaches for the team.
