Cowboys will keep taking it slow with Jenkins and stinger

The Cowboys are going to continue to take it very slowly with cornerback Mike Jenkins, who has been nursing a stinger in his right shoulder since the start of August.

Jenkins began working back into drills this week, but the Cowboys are still holding him away from contact.

“We just have to be careful with him,” Cowboys coach Jason Garrett said. “He has a stinger. He’s done a nice job the last couple of days in practice just working and getting his practice reps in without hitting that thing where he would take a backwards step.”
