The Cowboys' soap opera, As the Kicker Turns, continues Tuesday with the signing of veteran Shayne Graham. Dallas now has four kickers on its roster.
Graham is a career 86 percent kicker (208 of 242), but Washington cut him after he missed attempts of 29 and 49 yards in the first week of the preseason. Graham was 12-for-12 last season as a replacement for injured Stephen Gostkowski in New England.
David Buehler is the incumbant but has been inconsistent. He now is injured. He is listed as day to day with a right hip strain, but Buehler has been out a week already. The Cowboys signed Kai Forbath on Aug. 2, but he has yet to kick because of a quadriceps injury. Rookie Dan Bailey has been inconsistent in practice and has yet to get a field-goal attempt in the preseason.
