Legendary Bears defensive coordinator and former Eagles coach Buddy Ryan, 77, is battling cancer again.
His son, Cowboys defensive coordinator Rob Ryan, said the cancer is in his glands and spread to his neck.
The elder Ryan has been diagnosed with cancer four times previously.
"He's beaten it every time," Rob Ryan said.
The Ryans are so confident that they postpone surgery until after Sunday's game between the Cowboys and Jets, featuring a battle between twin brothers Rob and Rex, the head coach of the Jets.
Buddy will at New Jersey's MetLife Stadium for the can't-miss tilt. The surgery will take place back at his home in Kentucky.

Wow that is really something that shouldn't be waited on but I'm really excited to see what is going to happen with this game. I'm going to watch it on the Redzone at my DISH co-workers Football party I can't wait! I hope everything goes well.
