Jason Hatcher won a starting job. He showed Sunday he vows to keep it.
Hatcher had only 7.5 sacks in his first five seasons in the league. He had two Sunday.
"It felt good, man," Hatcher said. "The first time in my career I had two sacks in one game. It’s a great feeling. I hope they keep coming. I’m going to keep working hard, keep coming and believing in the scheme."
Hatcher took advantage of Marcus Spears' absence in the preseason when Spears was out with a groin injury. He has made himself at home in Rob Ryan's new defense, earning praise from both Ryan and head coach Jason Garrett.

I've always said Hatch was as good or better than Spears. Now it seems I'm being proven right. Hatch should have been a starter years ago. Just goes to show how badly this team was being managed several years ago. Hopefully that's changed now with Red and beer belly--oops, sorry---Garrett and Ryan.
