Backup quarterback Jon Kitna is preparing to play Monday night, but he doesn’t think he’ll have to.
“I fully expect him to play,” he said Thursday about quarterback Tony Romo, who suffered a fractured rib last week against the San Francisco 49ers.
Kitna came in for Romo in the third quarter and threw a touchdown pass that tied the game. He said he’ll be ready to play again.
“You’re always excited to play, but I’m not excited to play this way, I guess, if that makes sense,” he said. “For me, I’m just trying to go out there and have good practices and give other guys a chance to have a good feel for things and hopefully, like I said, I’m just practicing.”
