Terence Newman didn't dress for Wednesday's practice, so it looks more and more like he's not going to play Sunday when the Cowboys start the season against the New York Jets.
Tight end Martellus Bennett also didn't dress, but receiver Miles Austin, center Phil Costa and defensive end Marcus Spears all were practicing.
Without Newman, the Cowboys should end up going with Orlando Scandrick and Mike Jenkins as the outside corners, with Bryan McCann and Alan Ball coming in as the slot corners. That's a big area to watch on Sunday if the Jets go with three-receiver sets, putting out Plaxico Burress, Santonio Holmes and Derrick Mason.
