Romo stretches, doesn't throw; Bryant, Austin, two linemen miss start of practice

Quarterback Tony Romo (ribs) dressed for practice and stretched, but did not throw, and receivers Dez Bryant (quad) and Miles Austin (hamstring) did not appear for the start of practice.

Offensive linemen Derrick Dockery (knee) and Phil Costa (knee) also did not appear for practice. Running back Felix Jones, who suffered a dislocated shoulder in last week's game, dressed and stretched but went to the locker room.

Cornerback Terence Newman (groin) practiced and appeared ready for his first full action since the first days of training camp. He said Monday he would start and play against the Redskins.

Dockery started in place of guard Bill Nagy last week, who injured his neck in the Sept. 14 practice. Costa left last week's game after re-injured his knee, which forced him to miss time in the preaseason.

Comments

Carlos, what are you hearing about Austin's injury? I'm sure he won't play this week, but is it that severe where we likely won't see him until after the bye, as ESPN has reported?
